Vicki Evans is Respect Life Coordinator for the San Francisco Archdiocesan Office of Public Policy & Social Concerns. Her responsibilities include directing community activities--most notably Archdiocesan co-sponsorship of the Walk for Life West Coast--educational programs and legislative advocacy in diverse pro-life areas, including abortion, stem cell research, euthanasia, bioethics and the death penalty. The Benemerenti Papal Honor was conferred on her in 2011 for her volunteer work in pro-life ministry.
Vicki is a practicing Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Taxation. She recently earned her Licentiate in Bioethics from Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, where she graduated summa cum laude. In her dissertation on Commercial Markets Created by Abortion: Profiting from the Fetal Distribution Chain, she draws on her financial background to expose the abortion industry's clandestine profits.
She was awarded first place for best feature article in a special interest newsletter by the Catholic Press Association for her writings in "Ethics & Medics," a publication of the National Catholic Bioethics Center. She is a regular contributor to Catholic San Francisco Newspaper and frequent guest on Immaculate Heart Radio's "Archbishop's Hour" and San Francisco Archdiocesan TV shows, "Mosaic" and "For Heaven's Sake." She has lectured at St. Patrick's Seminary, continuing education workshops for Catholic educators, Bay Area high schools, and priest, religious and deaconate trainings.
In 2009 Vicki facilitated the “Bioethics, Multiculturalism & Religions International Conference" in Jerusalem in cooperation with Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum and the Institute of Bioethics & Human Rights UNESCO Chair.
