James F. Ennis

James F. Ennis is executive director of the National Catholic Rural Life Conference, an 88-year old non-profit organization serving the rural church, rural people and their communities throughout the US through education and advocacy assistance. Jim has worked in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. He earned a MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis, where he studied agricultural and managerial economics. A native of California, Jim is married with five children and now lives in Minnesota.

Last year at this time, Congress was preparing to write a new Farm Bill. You may have heard that Congress is still preparing to do so! When the House of Representatives failed to move the Farm Bill along by the end of last year, House and Senate leaders chose to extend the Farm Bill until this September.
